My name is Jean Murray and
I've been working with small business owners since 1974,
helping them start and operate their businesses. Since 1995 I
have been specializing in assisting chiropractic
students and graduates who want to start their own practices.
I’ve worked with chiropractors from Maine to Australia and
from Saskatchewan to Brazil to help them gain the knowledge to
act and the confidence to take the steps they need to begin.
My
mission is simple:

Planning for Practice Success™
has several guiding principles:
- Philosophy: Planning
for Practice Success™ is dedicated to the proposition that
anyone can start and successfully operate a health care
practice. I believe chiropractic graduates can start their
own businesses, with support and knowledge and some
old-fashioned hard work. Chiropractors have been starting
practices for over 100 years, and there is nothing magical
about the process. My mission is to assist chiropractic
graduates with the startup of their practices, with
information, coaching, and encouragement.
- Practical, Useful Advice
– The Planning for Practice Success™ book was written to
provide you with specific, useful information to help you
make your own decisions as you set up your practice.
I won’t tell you what to do;
I'll provide you with the options
and let you make
your own decisions.

P4PS™ (say “P – four
– P – S”) is primarily an educational business, teaching you
how to work through the 10,000 decisions you’ll need to make
in order to set up your practice. To this end I have free
services and information, a book ,
Jean’s blog, and much more.
In other words, I have just
about anything to help you start into practice and which will
also fit your budget.

What P4PS is NOT – P4PS
is NOT a practice management organization. I offer
specific products and services that you may choose to use
for practice startup and operations. I don’t require you to
sign long-term contracts. I don’t TELL you how to start your
practice.

Based on Experience
– Just like any complex decision for which you have no
experience (buying a home, buying your first car), you need
advisors to help you through the process. I DO have the
experience, and have helped many people start businesses. The
P4PS tools are not theoretical or hypothetical; they are based
on real experience.
Starting a business is the same for everyone, including
chiropractic practices. There are many books out there about
starting a business. What makes our products and services so
useful to YOU is that they are specifically designed for
chiropractors starting into practice. Everything
you need to start into practice is included. If it works and

More about Dr. Murray:
 Dr.
Jean Murray has been assisting small business owners for over
27 years. She has both the education and experience to help
you with your business startup questions and decisions.
Dr. Murray has an MBA and a PhD in
business management with an emphasis on entrepreneurship,
and wrote her dissertation on "Chiropractors as
Entrepreneurs."
She began consulting with small business owners in 1974 and
has continued to be committed to this work over the years.
She has owned and operated two successful businesses and has
counseled many chiropractic students with startup plans.
