"If you want
to reach a goal, you must 'see the reaching' in your own
mind before you actually arrive at your goal."
-- Zig Ziglar
In this issue:
See the
Reaching
Update: Several things I wanted to tell you about what
I’m doing.
See the Reaching. I like Zig Ziglar, and he has
been around for a long time. This quote caught me and got
to thinking about what “See the Reaching” might mean. I
decided it is like Michael Gerber’s advice to picture in
your mind the practice you want before you begin, then work
on making that picture real. Ziglar talks about an archery
competition with no bulls-eye. If the archers don’t know
the target, they have ZERO chance of hitting it. If they
have a bulls-eye to shoot at, they have a good chance of
hitting it. Seeing the Reaching is like that, I believe.
He says that “see the reaching” means picturing yourself
achieving the goal. For someone, it might mean opening the
door of a new practice the first day and greeting many
patients. For someone else, it might mean getting that
great, high-paying associate job. The more detailed the
picture you create, the better. Read the “10 Steps To Goal
Setting “ by Zig Ziglar at this website:

New BLOGS – I’m really getting good at blogging.
At least, it’s a lot of fun and a good way to interact with
people. I have several new blogs:
As some of you know, I’ve been associated with
Chiropractic Economics for several years, and I’m the editor
of the content on their StudentDC website. When I suggested
doing a blog, they thought it was a great idea. Check out
my blog “StudentDC Interactive” at
http://studentdc.com/studentdc-blog/
I am also blogging at another site, “Small Business
Boomers”. This one is on a blog network, B5Media, and I
actually get paid to do this. Imagine! I put a little
different content on here, with information for Baby Boomers
in small businesses, but much of the information is very
applicable for you too. It’s at
www.smallbusinessboomers.com.
In addition, I’m still blogging on my two personal sites:
www.practicestartupsuccess.com – This one emphasizes
practice startup topics.
www.professionalpracticesuccess.com – This one is for
chiropractors and other professionals who want ideas to help
their businesses grow.
Take a look at my blogs, please. If you know how to
“Stumble” or “Digg” them, I’d appreciate that. If not, just
going on gets me “hits.” Thanks.
