Create a Clear Picture of your Practice.  Brian Kim (www.briankim.net) says:  If you don't have a crystal clear picture in your mind of what you want, you won't even realize the potential of the many "puzzle pieces" lying around you in your life that you can use to put together to help create that picture.  Only when that picture is clear in your mind do you activate your "eyes" and begin to see the potential of all the seemingly unrelated puzzle pieces in your life and see how they can all fit together as well as see what "pieces" you're missing in order for you to complete the picture.  Michael Gerber echoes this by saying:  Create a picture in your mind of the practice you want.

TOP STORY:  Never Pass Up an Opportunity.  I recently talked with a new DC who is in the position to buy a practice, but she had to do it quickly, within just a couple of days.  She was ready, because:

§         Her business plan was prepared (in general, not the specifics of this business)

§         Her credit rating was impeccable

§         She had established a relationship with a bank

§         She had lined up a CPA and, most important, an attorney.

The bank gave her a letter telling the seller that she was approved for the loan.  If you found the perfect practice to buy and you had to act quickly, would you be ready?  Think about it.

Presenting your Business Plan.  I talked with a doctor who did a great presentation of his business plan using PowerPoint.  Here is a link to some tips for presentations: http://www.gearfire.net/creating-impressive-class-presentations/ (It is for class presentations, but it should work for anyone.)

New Schedule for Practice Startup Success.  This newsletter is going to a bi-weekly schedule (that’s every other week).  It’s not that I don’t love you guys.  It’s just that I’ve become very busy with my blogging and other freelance writing work.  If something comes up that I can’t wait to tell you, I will send an extra newsletter.
